OPENING GAMBIT
Gizmodo highlights a gadget that may really be helpful in opening blister packs, which seem to get increasingly painful to open.
This is a problem I along with others have complained about in the past.
The gizmo in question is called OpenIt appropriately enough. They're described as:
"...short pruning shears with orange plier handles, allowing you to cut your way through the shell by brute force.
There's also a retractable box-cutter built into the handle—supposedly designed in a way you won't accidentally slice your hand open while freeing an Xbox 360 controller from its confines.
It comes in four different colors, and at $11, it's cheaper than re-appropriating a Craftsman Handi-Cut or the like."
They may look like ordinary shears, but as this picture shows, they've got more going for them than most Swiss Army knives.
Not on Amazon yet, but can be bought from company's website in a number of colors if orange doesn't quite fit the bill.
Think I'm getting a dozen.
