CONTROLLING ONE'S GROOVE
Attended a beautiful wedding in Austin, Texas last night. Austin, by the way, is a city unique in Texas with it's rolling hills, dramatic Mansfield Dam, winding river and lakes. A fitting capital for the State of Texas.
At the wedding reception, the band really started to cook, playing one great classics after another. Stepping up to the floor to dance with my wife, I kept reminding myself to heed the advice of Hitch, on how NOT to dance in public.
For those of you not familiar with the movie Hitch, Will Smith plays a "date doctor" Alex "Hitch" Hitchens, who coaches mortal dudes on the do's and don'ts of wooing the woman of their dreams.
I had to try hard not to slip into the "Albert mode", especially when the applauding dance circle started, encouraging the vigorously dancing guests, "to do their thing" on the dance floor.
Hitch would have been proud of the way I stayed in the "Hitch" mode all night. My wife was most appreciative.
