Looks like this is another Flash based application. I am seeing Flash used extensively in these types of applications, presumably leveraging on Flash's extremely good x-browser support and the imaging features that are built into the Flash player.

The downside of this approach is that it requires Flash to be installed as a plugin, which reduces the ability to do this "anywhere". This is in marked contrast to the pure Ajax approach that allows usage on any compliant browser, but suffers from the incompatibilities between browsers.

While a few standard browser plugins are fine, far too many web applications require some sort of browser plugin or extension to work, which makes these applications really more like a hybrid between local installation and web based.

Alex, it makes me wonder why Adobe doesn't take Firefox add Flash to it and provide prepackaged download on their website.
