RAIN OR SHINE
Weather thingies are a dime a dozen, both online and off. But I think Gizmodo hits it on the nail with this new gizmo from Oregon Scientific:
"This little device from the weather junkies at Oregon Scientific is like bringing a desktop widget to real life. It has two circular displays that will display the current temperature and the upcoming temperature.
It does the magic future-predicting with an internal barometer. I wish it included Wi-Fi or something to more accurately predict the weather, but for $20 I'm not expecting much."
I've always pictured Oregon Scientific products to be a bit ho-hum from a design perspective, which admittedly can be a very hit or miss business.
But with this little humble product, they may have gotten their design groove back.
Cool. Even though I have an atomic clock w/ a more detailed readout, I still want one of those to sit at my desk. But better than that, you've just helped me find a Father's Day gift. Thanks! (and an extended thanks to Gizmodo for finding it) Also, if anyone reading wants one, I just did a search and you get can get them off eBay for $10, including shipping. Maybe dear ol' dad can have two gifts.
