As I've indicated in recent days, I've been spending a fair bit of time evaluating the virtual online world of Second Life. That experience has convinced me that the much anticipated wait for Web 3.0 is over.
The stale, two-dimensional social networking that we know as Web 2.0, will quickly give over to the rich, three-dimensional worlds of Web 3.0 driven avatars.
As such, I've decided to move this blog fully into the Web 3.0 world of Second Life.
As of tomorrow, the only way to read this blog will be via Second Life. For this, I kindly request your getting either a basic (free), or a premium membership in Second Life.
The Second life version of this blog will offer many advantages over the current version, not the least of which will be the ability to interact with the readership community of this blog, via 3-D avatars. (Special URL, soon to follow).
Try it.
It'll change the way you think about the Internet.
For best results, please access my blog in Second Life, using Google's new, in-home, free, wireless broadband service, called TiSP. You can read all about this exciting new service on Techmeme here.
You won't believe your what you're seeing.
P.S. Enjoy this special day, especially on Techmeme.
Michael,
Very convincing! It did give me the impetus to finally sign up for a Second Life account, though! FYI, my mother's birthday is April 1st!
