ON THE NEW MINI-TECHMEME

LIKE THAT TO GO?

As I've noted in the past, Techmeme is one of my most frequently read daily sites. 

Founder Gabe Rivera has done a great job over the last year making this a must-read site for those who love technology news and discussions in blogs large and small.

My only quibble had been with how cluttered the site has been to navigate through on a mobile phone or PDA like a Blackberry.

Well, that problem's solved with the introduction of the Mini-Techmeme today.  As Gabe notes:

"...I'm now introducing Mini-Techmeme, Mini-memeorandum, Mini-WeSmirch, and Mini-Ballbug. Adding /mini to the end of the regular URL gives you to the "Mini" version..."

"Mini versions are faster to scroll through since they dispense with Discussion links and pare back some of the larger story clusters."

It's a great start Gabe. 

Can't wait to use it on the road.

Thanks Michael. Yeah, I find myself actually using my own site on the go now. In fact, I found out my blog post announcing "Mini-" hit Techmeme at a burrito place...
