NOW FOR SOMETHING NEW
Inspired by Fred Wilson's recent post, I've also added MyBlogLog on the right sidebar of this blog. As Fred explains:
" If you don't read this blog via the web, you might not know about a community that's been developing around my blog. There are 52 members so far. If you'd like to join, just go here and set up an account.
You can see the community members who have most recently visited on this widget that is running on my left sidebar right "beneath the fold".
The whole thing is powered by a service called MyBlogLog. It's very basic right now as they just rolled it out ,but I hope they'll add a lot more functionality, like showing your avatar when you post a comment if you are in the community, letting you see all the comments each community member has posted, etc. You get the idea."
I signed up as a member to his community the first day he had the post up.
I've been watching the way this work on Fred's blog in recent weeks. It gives the blog a more "Waltons" like community feeling. You see who stopped by the front porch to say hi and share in the discussion.
In the spirit of trying out cool, new things on the web, I've added this to this blog as well.
Do sign up for free here though so that it actually produces some results. Thanks for your time and indulgence.
I've really been enjoying MyBlogLog. I've described it as getting to the user the underground tunnels at Disneyland to go from point to point instead of having to walk among the crowds above.
It's definitely taking off with the funding community which I'm sure once realized will bring in many entrepreneurs, but it's also taken hold with the DJ community, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before other communities want to set up direct pipes so to speak with each other.
Once javascript becomes common in RSS readers it's usage and functionality will sky rocket.

I have been using it for a while and really like it.
I think some people hough would prefer to just watch from above so definately not for everybody.
