FILLING THE VOID
Fred Wilson's post on the gap in the New York downtown skyline via the Arch in Washington Square Park brought back some memories, having lived in
Soho for almost a decade (pictures via Google images).
It brought to mind this 9/11 cartoon from three years ago, which ironically is just as valid today as then.
Regular readers may remember my posted view on the current design for Freedom Tower from a couple of months ago.
I recognize that this is a hugely emotional issue for most Americans, and that everyone has a view on what should be re-built on the site.
Upon a lot of reflection, I find myself in agreement with a man I've never met, know only by reputation like millions of Americans, and generally don't agree with a lot of his advertised views.
But Donald Trump's idea to re-create the original towers kind of sits right with me.
Whatever is built, I do hope, like many others I'm sure, that we see something at least starting to go up on that site, by the time the fifth anniversary rolls around.
