UPON REFLECTIONS (HALF-BAKED RIFFING)
I don't know why, but seeing this picture titled "reflection 6" at my favorite photo-blog "Daily Dose of Imagery" by Canadian/Iranian photographer Sam Javanrouh, whom I've featured before on this site, brought to mind Georges-Pierre Seurat's famous Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, which has been a long-time favorite.
Maybe because it's Sunday, and I'm in a reflective mood (ouch...sorry for that).
Or maybe the digital picture evoked a sense of mega-pointillism that Seurat pioneered.
By the way, this post under the category of half-baked riffing, which I described in the preceding post.
Anyway, here are the two in juxtaposition. I've cropped Sam's original to capture just the cool reflections and see them against the Seurat painting. You'll have to click each picture to see the larger images. Hope you enjoy them.
If you want to check out the comment's on Sam's original picture, you can see them here.
