Jon Stewart of The Daily Show has some pretty guests on the show generally, but he hit a home run with former Chief Justice Sandra Day O'Connor making an appearance a couple of days ago.
Appointed to the court in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan, she was the first female Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Retired from the Court in 2006, she is a refreshing breath of fresh air with her candor on a lot of fronts.
Barely two minutes into the interview she explains how in a recent survey only third of Americans surveyed could name the three branches of the U.S. government, yet over 75% of those surveyed could name at least one judge from American Idol.

The second part has some great anecdotes from her days on the court, including her objection to Jon Stewart calling her a "swing" voter. The compromise reached between them is pretty appropriate.
