I thought this issue with DVD copy software was long settled in favor of the consumer.

But the suit doesn't surprise me. The industry has been wanting consumers to buy a copy for every device they want to play a DVD on. Complete a**holes.

This country needs a serious review of IP law and rebalancing of power back to the public.

I am a consumer who is annoyed with the "sometimes-cumbersome process of inserting the DVD itself into a player". My daughter can watch several dvd's on a family trip. I want to get her a NetBook and be able to store a good number (at least 10) DVD's on it for our car time. RealDVD would allow me to do this.
