The events of yesterday have confirmed my thoughts that our political system is in need of reform. I have thought for sometime that our elected officals in congress as well as the supreme court need to have an infusion of new blood on a regular basis. I am talking about TERM LIMITS. The do nothing congress has become so partisan, and influnced more and more by lobbyists, who seek to entrench the candidate who caters to their needs. That the representitive has lost sight and touch with his or her constituants. Term limits might be THE solution to motivate our representitives too do what is best for us and the US. I would propose limiting the terms of senators to no more than two consecutive terms. Congress persons to no more than four consecutive terms. With the limits to length of appointments to the supreme court adjusted to no more than twelve years. This is the type of CHANGE that is need in Washinton. With this change we can insure a constant fresh view of what affects the taxpaying public, with representation that has more urgency and less allegence to special interests. If anyone has information to pass for this type of movement. Please send it to me.
